This letter gives us another secret to growth and change to those of us who are feeling a little bit complacent. Maybe we feel a little more bored than blessed when we connect with church … Perhaps we feel a lot more attached to this world than we’d like - (who doesn’t struggle with that?) and looking us straight in the eye Jesus says - “I want you to see your need as you never have before. Then I’d be able to meet your need as I never have before.” John writes this way to the church in Laodicea - “To the angel of the church of Laodicea write, ‘These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds that you’re neither cold nor hot … I wish that you were one or the other … But you don’t realise you’re wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you get from me gold refined in the fire so you can become rich and white clothes to wear so you can cover your shameful nakedness salve to put on your eyes so you can see.” (Revelation 3:14 ff) Not easy words from Jesus but they end with his remarkable promise - “Look! I am standing at the door and I'm constantly knocking. If anyone opens the door I will come in and I’ll fellowship with him; I’ll relate to him, I’ll dine with him and he’ll fellowship with me.” (Revelation 3:20 – Message)

Faith is multifaceted: it is seeing everything in the world from God’s perspective. Faith is not desire; it’s not feelings (which often get in the way of faith); it’s not bargaining with God; and it’s not pretending something untrue is really true. There is always more than one way of looking at things.
Listen now as Pastor Peter unpacks his thoughts and discusses how seeing things from God’s point of view produces a faith that dispels fears and unlocks miracles and dreams.

Following Jesus has never been an easy thing to do. These days, believing in what God says over and above the new normal that society is pushing, well, it’s not an easy thing. Christians these days are derided as bigots and conservatives, when, for example, they stand up for “traditional marriage” (as though there is any other sort of marriage!).

Where did I come from is a question of “origin”. When we know where we’re from, we’ll be better able to live lives that fit with our design and purpose.
So - where did we come from? Are we simply the accidental byproducts, of the random forces of nature? Are we a cosmic accident? Or are we, the pinnacle of creation, intended by a personal and a loving God?
The answer has significant implications for our lives. If people are truly made in the image of God, then as Christians, we must treat everyone with dignity. And, if we’ve been made by God, we have a purpose. We were designed to be in a relationship with God, and with other people.
Listen now to this exciting message as Pastor Peter unpacks his thoughts.

Do you know the difference between features and benefits? A feature is a characteristic that makes something unique and sets it apart from everything else. A benefit is how that feature can help you.
One of the greatest features in the world is called the power of God.
When the apostle Peter described the benefits of that power, he said Jesus “anointed by the Holy Spirit and power” (Acts 10:38) went about doing good and healing people under evil’s influence. That’s what the power of God does. It binds up the broken hearted, saves the lost and it gives hope to the hopeless.
The four benefits we’ll explore this morning are -Salvation for our spirit, Peace for our mind, Healing for our body and soul, and Deliverance from destructive habits in our lives.
Listen now as Pastor Peter unpacks his thoughts.

Unfortunately, not only the quantity, but the very nature of the news helps to increase our sense of hopelessness, our feelings of fear, and our dread of despair. Truth be told we’re surrounded, and we’re inundated, by bad, horrific, mind numbing news.
So … today, in the face of all the bad news, we’re going to hear the best news we’ve ever heard; courtesy, not of the news media but from Scripture. From the God breathed, Holy Spirit inspired, word of God.What’s the great news? No matter what comes our way, when we live in Christ, and Christ lives in us - we overcome.
Really? Yes! For every single bit of darkness, there will be light. And when light stands next to darkness, light always wins. A risen Jesus, means that we have power in our lives, to help us overcome the things in life that confront us.Listen now as Pastor Peter unpacks his thoughts.
